The Academic Programme

The curriculum  in The School Of  Intellectuals, Arfa  Kareem, Miraj and ldrees  Houses aims to meet local  and international expectations of what the youth will know, understand and be able to do up to teenage. Much of the content has been adopted from  the English National Curriculum, with the addition of Urdu and lslamiat. English Language is the medium of instruction as well as the medium of study and class discussion.

At the end of the year students follow courses in preparation for exams offered internally and externally by concerned authorities. Subjects available at SSC level are English, Urdu, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Pakistan Studies and lslamiat.

At Middle  level we offer Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Urdu, Computer Studies and Arts.  In addition, all students are prepared for English language and thinking skills Test conducted internally.

These syllabi are possible because of the firm educational foundations laid in the earlier years  at School where curiosity is aroused, interest kindled and concentration developed. Particular care is taken to develop students’ reading habits and to this end all children have access to libraries from the Nursery Class onwards.

Physical  Education or  Games also appears  in students’ timetable  equally as per schedule in all the houses.  We believe, it is important to promote health and physical well-

being alongside academic pursuits.  We have participated in Ko hat Board football,  Cricket  competitions (Sports GALA), students also took part in Badminton and other indoor games. Minor students enjoys slide swing etc in the school.

Early Year Programme

The School of Intellectuals early year programme (4-10 year of age) focuses on developing children’s skills through activity-bassed teaching methods. chidren are provided opportunities to:

  • Grow socially,emotionlly, physically and intellectually
  • Improve problem solving skills
  • Make decisions and begin taking responsibility for their decisins
  • Develop communication and interpersonal skills
  • Learn to accept and appreciate differences among people
  • Develop heigh self-esteem and self-confidance

Subjects  language: Reading exercises, vocabulary development, story time, nursery rhymes, peotry, darama and puppetry

Mathematics: Number work and concept development

Science: Observation, analysis, synthesis and exploring

Creative Arts: Hand control, art and movement

Physical Education: Development of motor skills, control, sportsman sperit, team buliding, stress management, time management, building and enhancing confidance level

Moral Values: Ehics and basics of religion

Course CD’s: On research and conference with experience person we reached the point that CD’s of the course book be provided to the students of nursery to second standard. Due to CD’s students will be able to  learn easily and their parents could alsohelp them.
